Frequency of Solar Eclipses
Solar eclipses are relatively rare events, but they do happen fairly regularly. On average, there are between two and five solar eclipses each year. However, each eclipse is only visible from a limited area of the Earth's surface. This means that it is not uncommon for people to go their entire lives without seeing a total solar eclipse.
