The 2024 NFL Draft is officially underway, and the Detroit Lions are on the clock. The first round of the draft is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, April 25, and the Lions hold the No. 6 overall pick.
The Lions are expected to target a quarterback with their first pick, as they have not had a franchise quarterback since Matthew Stafford was traded to the Los Angeles Rams in 2021. Several top quarterback prospects are available in this year's draft, including Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud, and Anthony Richardson.
In addition to a quarterback, the Lions could also use help at wide receiver, tight end, and defensive line. They have a number of holes to fill on their roster, and the draft is a great opportunity to add some young talent.
The NFL Draft will be held at the Motor City Casino Hotel in Detroit. All three days of the draft will be televised on ESPN. Fans can also follow the draft online at NFL.com.
