Blake Ashton Snell was born on December 4, 1992, in Shoreline, Washington. He attended Shorecrest High School before playing college baseball at Shoreline Community College and the University of Washington. Snell was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the first round of the 2014 MLB Draft.
